Ring Size Guide

Finding the right ring size helps ensure your ring feels comfortable and secure. South Africa uses the alphabetical UK ring-sizing system, with sizes identified by letters such as L, N or R.

Use the guide below to estimate your ring size using either the inside diameter of a ring you already own or the circumference of the finger the ring will be worn on.

For the most accurate result, we recommend having your finger measured professionally.

How to Find Your Ring Size

Measure an Existing Ring

  1. Choose a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
  2. Measure straight across the inside of the ring from one inner edge to the other.
  3. Measure only the inside diameter — do not include the metal.
  4. Record the measurement in millimetres.
  5. Match the measurement to the Inside Diameter column in the chart below.

Measure Your Finger

  1. Wrap a narrow strip of paper or non-stretch string comfortably around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark the point where the ends meet.
  3. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres.
  4. Match this measurement to the Inside Circumference column in the chart.

For the best result, measure more than once and avoid pulling the paper or string too tightly.

Tips for the Best Fit

  • Measure the exact finger the ring will be worn on.
  • Measure later in the day when your fingers are generally slightly larger.
  • Avoid measuring when your hands are unusually cold.
  • Your ring should slide over the knuckle comfortably but have slight resistance when being removed.
  • Wider bands generally feel tighter than narrow bands and may require a slightly larger size.
  • If your measurement falls between two sizes, professional sizing is recommended before production.
